Kurdish PM Masrour Barzani announced on his twitter account that Kurdistan’s E-visa portal for the foreign nationals have started.
Masrour Barzani added that the e-visa will be available for all who are willing to enter kurdistan.
E-Visa is among many services that current cabinet has introduced to improve public services.
The service is for citizen satisfaction and aid the ease of doing business in Kurdistan.
“We will make more efforts to complete establishing the E-government over the next few months” The kurdish PM confirmed.
The E-visa portal is the latest digital service of the Kurdistan’s government, as a step to establish E-government. And to reduce routine and increase tourism.
The e-visa is the latest service by KRG to provide online services for the visitors of Kurdistan’s region.
The portal is a new way to attract more visitors from different countries, and citizens of all countries can apply for entry online.
As a result of new digital services, visa application will be easier and visa process will be faster.
The portal is owned and supervised by the region’s interior ministry and developed by information centre of Kurdistan.

To achieve this project KRG has started from establishing E-visa and developing technology data centres all across the region.
The Kurdish PM confirmed that Kurdistan will be a fully digital government by the end of 2025.
Alongside with boosting tourism, E-visa and other systems have been developed to improve border security.
Obtaining Kurdistan visas was relatively difficult for most foreign citizens, because Kurdistan has representatives in a small number of countries.
Foreign tourists faces many visa-related issues such as fake visas and frauds, which made them afraid to come to Kurdistan.

To prevent these frauds, the government decided to introduce electronic visas.
Tourism company and tourist guides are happy with the move.
This step will make it easier for companies to bring tourists to Kurdistan, which previously required more expenses, more time and more routine to issue visas.
