Fabrigas visits Kurdistan
Spanish footballer Cesc Fàbregas arrived the Kurdistan Region, aiming to inspire young aspiring athletes with a message of perseverance and hard work for achieving success. The FIFA World Cup winner, Fabregas, arrived in Erbil on Friday afternoon. He will participate in a panel discussion where he engaged with the audience by answering their questions.
“Football holds immense significance for young individuals as they represent the future and the upcoming generation that will bring us joy while watching them on television,” he expressed.
“That’s why they truly deserve and require proper education to represent themselves and the world in a respectful manner,” he further emphasized, underscoring the crucial role of providing support to the youth and setting a positive example for them to follow.
Former Barcelona player and Arsenal captain, Cesc Fàbregas, stressed the significance of hard work and self-belief for young individuals to attain their goals. The panel discussion, organized by INGOT Brokers, served as a platform for Fàbregas to offer his insights. INGOT Brokers recently became LaLiga’s regional financial partner for the Middle East and North Africa.
“We are aware that we have a big fan base here in Erbil, in Kurdistan” Cesc Fàbregas told reporters.
” We believe that there are so much talent here that needs recognition. And this is something we really want to do,” he added.
Cesc Fàbregas, a Spanish footballing legend, played a vital role in his country’s historic victory in the 2010 World Cup final against the Netherlands in South Africa. Revered as one of Spain’s finest midfielders ever, he created the decisive goal in that momentous match.Expressing his surprise, Fàbregas acknowledged that he had not anticipated such a profoundly positive atmosphere during his inaugural visit to Erbil.
Famous international footballers visiting Kurdistan is not an uncommon occurrence.
Last year, Brazilian star Roberto Carlos visited the region and participated in a sports event held in Erbil. Kurdistan Region has extended invitations to numerous famous bodybuilders, in addition to footballers.
In 2024, CONIFA World Football Cup, will be hosted by Kurdistan. Many famous footballers may take part is in opening ceremony.
